Overview
A mesmerizing light art experience presented at DCAF (Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival) that gave voice to natural elements—wind, water, light—creating a dialogue between invisible forces, human memory, and the historic architecture of Downtown Cairo. The installation transformed Cinema Radio into a site of poetic reflection.
The Challenge
Creating an immersive experience that respects and enhances the historical significance of Cinema Radio while introducing contemporary new media art that explores the temporal nature of perception and the relationship between environment and consciousness.
Approach
Full-scale projection mapping on architectural surfaces with synchronized audio design responding to light patterns. Real-time manipulation of visual elements created an immersive atmosphere that integrated historical narrative with contemporary visual language, making the invisible forces of nature visible through technology.
Outcome
Featured as a flagship DCAF presentation, receiving recognition for innovative integration of technology with cultural heritage sites. The project successfully demonstrated how new media art can revitalize historic spaces while maintaining their cultural integrity.
